How to reset your password

Students

If you are a student and need to reset your password, please call the ITS Help Desk at (864) 977-7272

Faculty and staff

To reset your password by phone, call the ITS Help Desk at (864) 977-7272.

To reset your password online,

  1. In a web browser, go to https://helpdesk.ngu.edu/password-reset. Alternatively, at the Microsoft SSO login page, select Forgot my password.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. In the "Who are you?" section, enter your NGU email address (for instance, srogers@ngu.edu) and enter the characters in the picture.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Select the applicable option answer on the "Why are you having trouble signing in?" page.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Select the contact method that Microsoft should use to verify your identity (such as Approve a notification on my authenticator app).
    • If you select Approve a notification, enter the number shown on the page in your Microsoft Authenticator app.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

  6. You will get an email confirmation that you reset your password.
