First-time setup

Password and two-factor authentication 

Create your password

  1. Open a web browser and go to https://mfasetup.ngu.edu.
  2. Enter your NGU email (first initial + last name + .bt + @ngu.edu). For example, John Smith’s BT email would be jsmith.b@ngu.edu.
  3. Enter the temporary password provided by IT Services.
  4. Follow the prompt to create a new password. Note that NGU requires passwords to:
    • Be at least 12 characters long
    • Include at least one uppercase letterone lowercase letter, and one number

Set up two-factor authentication

  1. After setting your password, you'll be prompted to set your two-factor authentication.
  2. Follow the directions in this guide

Setting Your Govenda Password

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://app.govenda.com.
  2. Click the “Forgot?” link in the password field.
  3. In the Reset Password pop-up, enter your BT email address (e.g., jsmith.bt@ngu.edu) and click Send Email.
  4. Open a new tab, log in to your NGU BT email (https://trailblazermail.ngu.edu), and locate the reset email from Govenda.
  5. Click the link in the email and create your new Govenda password.

Accessing Your BT Email Account

  1. In a web browser, go to https://trailblazermail.ngu.edu.
  2. If prompted, enter your BT usernamenew password, and your pictograph images.
  3. You can now send and receive emails through this platform.

Accessing Your Govenda Account

Govenda is NGU's board management software.

  1. Open a web browser and navigate to https://app.govenda.com.
  2. Enter your BT email and Govenda password and click Sign In.

Forgot Your Password?

If you forget your password:

  1. Go to https://passwordreset.ngu.edu.
  2. Click “Need Help?”, then select “I forgot my password.”
  3. Follow the prompts to reset your password.
