First-Time Setup
Password, Pictograph Authentication, and Security Questions
Set Your Password
- Open a web browser and go to https://sso.ngu.edu.
- Enter your username (first initial + last name + .bt). For example, John Smith’s BT username would be jsmith.bt.
- Enter the temporary password provided by IT Services.
- Follow the prompt to create a new password. Note that NGU requires passwords to:
- Be at least 12 characters long
- Include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, and one number
Set Up Pictograph Authentication
- After setting your password, you'll be prompted to select three pictograph images.
- Remember these images—you’ll need them to access your email in the future. (If you forget, IT Services can reset them for you.)
Choose Security Questions
- Finally, you’ll be asked to select and answer three security questions.
Setting Your Govenda Password
- Open a web browser and navigate to https://app.govenda.com.
- Click the “Forgot?” link in the password field.
- In the Reset Password pop-up, enter your BT email address (e.g., jsmith.bt@ngu.edu) and click Send Email.
- Open a new tab, log in to your NGU BT email (https://trailblazermail.ngu.edu), and locate the reset email from Govenda.
- Click the link in the email and create your new Govenda password.
Accessing Your BT Email Account
- In a web browser, go to https://trailblazermail.ngu.edu.
- If prompted, enter your BT username, new password, and your pictograph images.
- You can now send and receive emails through this platform.
Accessing Your Govenda Account
Govenda is NGU's board management software.
- Open a web browser and navigate to https://app.govenda.com.
- Enter your BT email and Govenda password and click Sign In.
Forgot Your Password?
If you forget your password:
- Go to https://sso.ngu.edu.
- Click “Need Help?”, then select “I forgot my password.”
- Follow the prompts to reset your password.
