Emergency Phone Message Instructions

Activate emergency phone message 

  1. Connect to NGU network.
    • On campus: Use your NGU-issued computer to connect to the NGUAdmin Wi-Fi or connect with an Ethernet cable.
    • Off campus: Use your NGU-issued computer, connect to a network source, and use the GlobalProtect VPN.
  2. Open a web browser and go to http://10.200.0.53.
  3. If you see the following insecure connection alert, select Advanced and Continue to 10.200.0.53 (unsafe)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Sign into the Avaya Aura System Manager with the following credentials:
    • Username: cmt
    • Password: Readytogo!Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Select the Elements dropdown menu:Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Select Communication ManagerUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. Type 7000 in the search bar (visible above "Feature Management". Use your mouse cursor to hover over the CM CM10 search result and select Edit:Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  8. Next to "Destination: Vector Number", change the three-digit number from 100 to 911:Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  9. Select Commit to activate the temporary emergency announcement system.

Deactivate emergency phone message

Repeat steps 1-7 above. For step 8, change the "Destination: Vector Number" to 100 and select Commit.
