Audience: Full-time NGU faculty and staff that have an Avaya desk phone in their office.
Description: Directions for setting Avaya desk phone voicemail password and greeting on campus.

On Campus Setup
Set Voicemail Password
- Press the message (envelope) button to access the new messaging menu.
- Enter the default password 2580.
- The messaging assistant will ask for a new 4-20 digit password. You will use this password whenever you access the phone's messaging menu.
Setting Voicemail Greeting
- After setting your new password, the system will prompt you to set up a greeting.
- Follow the voice assistant by pressing 2 to record a new voicemail greeting.
- After you have recorded a greeting, press 1 to set this as the new greeting.
Listening To and Deleting Messages
- After your voicemail password and greeting are set, press the message (envelope) button, and enter your password.
- The voice assistant will provide menu options:
- Press 2 to listen to messages.
- Press 3 to delete a message during or after playback.
