Description: NGU is migrating to Intune as our patch management (updates) and inventory service. This article explains Intune's patch (update) cycle, user interaction, and more.

Patches (update)
When new patches (updates) are available, your device will automatically download them. Microsoft Intune Management Extension will notify you when it is downloading and installing software.
Whenever new updates are available from their source, users have two days to apply the updates. For example, if Google Chrome releases updates on Tuesday, you have a grace period to apply the updates until Thursday.
- Your device will notify you when updates require a restart and will ask to select a time to restart.
- At the end of those two days, you will see a two-hour countdown before your computer force-restarts.
